Back On Track

Finally our internet has been fixed - the whole road has been off for a few weeks but hopefully fixed for good - we all missed it a lot more than we would have thought...what I missed most was the absence of instant kmowledge at my fingertips. You know when you want to check out a certain plant or find one that's ideal for an awkward space - the internet has it all.

What have I been doing since my last post? Where to start?!

In The Garden

Pruned, fed and mulched all of the roses.
Moved plants from the cut flower field to the ornamental garden (surplus to requirements or not pulling their weight as cut flower stock) - delphinium Dusky Maiden, 10 campanula persicifolia, hydrangea Magical Amethyst, euphorbia characias wulfenii, mathiasella bupleuroides Green Dream.
Moved iris Gerald Darby from the cottage garden - (it was far too big for its spot, and not wet enough) to a wet corner in the top field.
Lots of weeding and tidying.
Started painting the picket fence in the cottage garden - it takes forever, especially with the constant rain showers!

In The Tunnel

Sowed - flowers - pink & blue cornflower, dahlia cactus mixed, hollyhock, clarkia, echium blue bedder, ammi green mist, annual lupins, scabious, white centranthus.

Veg - black kale, greyhound cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, broad beans, lettuce salad bowl mixed, rainbow chard.

I've started to clear the veg garden but there is still so much to do -panic always sets in at this time of year....just not enough hours in the day!
